ProtoX 5inch Quadcopter Frame

ProtoX 5inch Quadcopter Frame

This is my new X frame for 5-inch quads! Here are a few notes: * The back arms are raised by 1 cm to provide cleaner airflow for the back motors. * It's intended to work with a 4-in-1 ESC, but it should also function well with normal ESCs. You can mount your camera to the front brace. I designed it to fit my Caddx SDR camera, so check your camera dimensions before printing it. * You can choose to mount the battery on the bottom or top. * To assemble this frame, you will need 8 M3 x 20 screws and 4 M3 x 10 screws. * The holes for the FC and ESC are 30.5 mm apart. * If your ESC is large, you might need to melt the plastic a bit. * The arms may be flexible if printed in PLA; consider adding a carbon or plywood piece on the bottom to make them straight, or printing them out of carbon fiber if possible. Parts I used: * Racerstar 35Amp 4-in-1 ESCs * Samguk Wu 2206 2400kv motors * 4S 1800mAh Turnigy Graphene battery * Omnibus F4 Pro V3 FC * Eachine TX805 * Caddx Micro SDR2 camera * FrSky XSR receiver * Racerstar 5040 quadblade props I did a small one-minute hovering test, and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, I couldn't fly for any longer due to very bad weather.
