Prototype Wallace Eckstruder fan mount V1 and 2

I designed a custom ducted fan mount that would perfectly fit my trusty Wallace G1 printer, along with any other printer equipped with my upgraded Wallace edition Eckstruder. It was imperative to verify compatibility with a genuine J-head hot-end. To avoid any complications, I had to ensure that the length of this component remained unchanged from the last version I created. I experimented with two distinct prototypes: V1 and V2. The initial print was a simple single-part design without any support structures; unfortunately, it repeatedly collided with my bed clips, rendering it ineffective. In response to this setback, I designed a new version (V2), which consisted of three separate parts that needed to be carefully assembled together using a reliable adhesive. So far, V2 seems promising and requires further testing to validate its overall performance. Once satisfied, the STL file for this design will be uploaded and made publicly available. For successful installation: Firstly, print out version 2 twice – all three components need to be printed. Utilize acetone or your preferred adhesive to securely fasten the arms to the central body component. Make sure the ventilation openings face inward for optimal airflow circulation. Carefully attach a 40mm fan unit, taking note of the mounting holes designated for it on the design's base plate. For an additional safety check, inspect your printer to verify that there are no other possible collision points. This should enable you to get reliable print quality with enhanced airflow assistance.
