This is a miniature X-ray tube prototype that enables adjustment of the cathode-anode distance from 0.5 to 3mm with precision of 0.05mm, and can be vacuumed down to 1E-8 mbar. It also features interchangeable cathode and anode, using carbon nanotubes as a cold cathode (heat power: 2-5W, maximum up to 50kEV rays; intensity is yet unknown).
