PROTOTYPE Quadcopter Frame 550 Size
thingiverse
First version of my 3D printed 550 quadcopter frame takes shape. I've managed to cobble together a configuration using the parts I still had scattered around my home workshop. My goal was clear: create a robust yet feather-light frame that's the perfect marriage of form and function. While this initial design might be over-engineered, rest assured that future revisions will streamline it for optimal performance. Snap-on landing gear will keep the structure intact even in a crash, making this quadcopter virtually indestructible. Though it's far from finished, I'm already seeing its incredible potential. As of now, don't bother printing just yet - the landing gear still needs some TLC and getting to the inner workings requires some finagling. Give me another week or so to perfect the details, and this beauty will be ready for prime time. If you have any suggestions or input, let's hear it! A thumbs-up is always welcome too :).
