To meet the needs of doctors and nurses who work closely with infected people during this critical Covid phase, this innovative helmet allows you to keep your face mask-free while still maintaining a safe distance from patients. Especially beneficial for those who wear glasses, it prevents uncomfortable issues like fogged lenses. A unique transparent PVC helmet features a 3D printed structure consisting of two essential components: the frame that holds the PVC in place around the head and a curved element positioned behind the neck with elastic bands passing through to secure the helmet firmly. This design also includes connections for an air inlet pipe from standard C-PAP respirators, ensuring a continuous flow of clean air while allowing for the addition of a soft bag as an expansion chamber. The model is designed in separate parts for easy printing on a standard 3D printer with dimensions 20x20x20 cm. The transparent PVC material can be heat-sealed and is suitable for use in gazebos or tents, making it a practical solution for medical professionals working outdoors. Two elastic bands with knots on the forehead keep the structure securely in place while tied posteriorly to a vertical rod on the back of the neck. This clever design concept prevents any inflow of external air inside the helmet, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for both healthcare workers and patients. In emergency situations, the structure can also be made from wire of adequate thickness, providing an additional layer of protection. Designed by Giovanni Giobbi Vona and Antonio Onorati, this innovative helmet is now available in the public domain.
