A Protoss Carrier from Starcraft gets a massive upgrade with added supports to keep its floaty bits firmly in place. Scaled down to fit perfectly into the Star Wars Armada universe, this behemoth measures 1500 meters long, just like the Chimera. To accommodate my printer's limited size and minimize unnecessary support material, I made some crucial adjustments. The left and right "wings" were sliced in half vertically on my slicer, eliminating the need for supports altogether - a trick worth trying if you're facing similar challenges. The front section underwent significant changes as well, with key parts removed to prevent printing issues due to inadequate support from my slicer. Specifically, the tiny antenna and the band between the side panels would have printed poorly without proper support. Fortunately, I've successfully printed this massive model, but unfortunately, it's still a work in progress - I handed it over to a friend for painting and never got around to finishing it... Once it's done, you can bet I'll share some amazing photos.
