Improve your PRotos X-Carrier and Hotend setup with a crucial component: the cooling plate. Made of aluminum, it cools by airflow, protecting PLA or ABS from heat while the fan runs. Additionally, it cools the surrounding air through holes. In the latest version, add adapter holes for water-cooled spirals combined with temperature sensors and electronics to adjust air temperature. Though water cooling is rarely necessary, a combination of support material and uncooled airflow works well in most cases. Split the plate and use a printed PLA rear for enhanced performance. Adjust the nozzle's extension for better results in critical corners and prevent "up bending" of layers. However, be cautious of the center hole size to avoid material consumption issues. For exceptional first layer adhesion, consider purchasing Dauerdruckplatte from Philipp Schlautmann in Germany.
