A full size, 3D printable version of the Ghostbusters' proton pack gun mount based on Steffan Otto's drawing at http://www.gbfans.com/wiki/Stefan_Otto%27s_Prop_Plans is available. This part is a hollow design like all my others to reduce plastic usage but needs an internal 2.5inch x 1.5inch piece of wood, which fastens to the motherboard and has screws supporting the gun bracket that fasten into it. A stack of M4 washers are used in between the gun bracket and the wood. This mechanically isolates the bracket from the mount ensuring the gun mount is secure and not reliant on the plastic for strength. See the second picture showing the wood in red and washers in black to get a better idea. Print the gun bracket at 100% infill for maximum strength, and print DrillCentres.pdf at 'actual size' to obtain the hole centres and fasten onto motherboard with #4 self tapping screws. There are two versions available of this design. Steffan's drawings show the gearbox with a buttress that fouls the gun mount by 3.2mm, so I have uploaded one copy of the gun mount with a notch cut out to resolve this issue.
