Proton C Mechanical keyboard with Kailh hot swap sockets
thingiverse
I designed a custom handwired keyboard that incorporates Kailh hot swap sockets and the Proton C from QMK. I duplicated the same wiring diagram as the Sick-68, and created customized firmware for the Proton C. To secure the sockets in place, I used a small amount of superglue. While I could have opted for a press-fit design, this method ensures that none of the sockets will come loose. Brass inserts threaded with M3 screws were heat pressed into the top case. These can be purchased on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2UXOauy I installed anodized aluminum feet on the keyboard. Although it already has a 7-degree angle, these aren't strictly necessary, but they do add to its appearance. You can find them on this link: https://bit.ly/38K7zTu The Proton C from QMK can be found here: https://qmk.fm/proton-c/
