ProtoMask MK3 COVID-19 This mask does not protect against COVID-19 directly like a certified one, but it's something. The file for the top of the mask is included in .ipt format so you can modify it if it doesn't fit correctly. The design was made using Inventor Professional 2020. ProtoMask is a homemade mask designed due to shortages or increased prices of certified masks caused by COVID-19. It's a reusable mask based on the original FFP2 mask design with a filter. This mask can be washed with water and soap, and it consists of two parts: the mask and the filter cap. In this version, the filter is located inside the mask for added security so it can be replaced without losing it. The main idea is to use a cotton filter, but you can also use another material. The prototype was printed with PLA and rubber was used on the inside to cushion the pressure of the plastic on the face. It would be recommended to make the mask out of flexible material for greater comfort and adaptation to the face. A rubber elastic band was used to hold it in place, where you can adjust it thanks to the design of openings at the top. You can also use or adapt another holding system. The dimensions of the rubber used are: 12x1mm (choose the length). **This mask is only for civil use and should only be used if there's a shortage of certified masks.
