Protobox Sanwa Joystick Adapter

Protobox Sanwa Joystick Adapter

I was eager to experiment with a mixbox, but didn't feel like constructing an entire new stick from scratch, so I designed this adapter instead. It snugly fits into the same holes as a standard Sanwa joystick, while the key switch wires pass through the stick's hole. The printing process takes just 2-3 hours, requiring no supports. To assemble it, you'll need four M4 nuts and four matching M4 machine screws that can reach all the way through your panel and the adapter itself. Additionally, choose any mechanical keyboard switches you prefer; I opted for Gateron Blues since they were readily available. For wiring, use whatever suits your needs best. I connected some solid 22-gauge copper wire to my switches, then poked the other ends through the quick-disconnect wires of my zero-delay encoder and twisted them together for a secure fit.
