The ProtoBot is a basic minimum robot, developed in OOML v2.0, that can be prototyped with Arduino UNO and protoboard for added electronics and sensors. Printable within 2 hours on a MakerBot TOM, this robot's body houses wheels derived from MiniSkybot designs and features a ball wheel holder as a castor. A list of alternative wheels can be found online. Designed by Mario Almagro, Nieves Cubo, and Alberto Valero, the ProtoBot requires OOML installation, cmake compilation, and generation of OpenSCAD files before assembly using STL files for main body, wheels, and spacers. Futaba S3003 servos are mounted on sides with a 9V battery at the rear, while spherical wheels are placed and secured freely. Easy hacking instructions are available for the servos.
