Personally utilize this as a protein powder scoop and funnel for my beverages and shakes. The handle was specifically designed to be longer due to the common problem of many cylindrical containers having small scoops that make it difficult to reach the bottom of the container easily. This longer handle allows it to feed through the center of the scoop, then attach to a keychain on a bag. The solution to this issue is exactly this design! Enjoy using it! Note - PLA, while considered safe by FDA standards for use in food applications, is still recommended to be coated with a food-safe epoxy before use to ensure complete safety.
