Abandoned, Protectrons and his comrades took refuge in watching The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - it was all they had access to on TV. They grew tired of it and longed to become power rangers themselves, so they painted their bodies to mimic the rangers' look and modified one of their hands into a rough imitation of the rangers' iconic weapons. Only Protectron, who had chosen to be the Blue Ranger, managed to survive.
