protective shield
thingiverse
Unfortunately, delivery issues persist for protective shields, affecting dentists, among others. A simple yet affordable solution was conceived: repurposing a commercially available baseball cap. While it may not look ideal, this makeshift shield could potentially offer some assistance. As an amateur, I'm not well-versed in CAD design; my goal is to contribute, albeit imperfectly. These prototypes are the starting point, and I eagerly anticipate further suggestions for enhancement. The caps themselves would be sourced from various locations, while plexiglass film can be acquired at a local hardware store or online at a low cost. If you're interested, I'll make the instructions and print files available for free. My current focus is on refining these initial attempts, so I'm unable to build additional prototypes; however, I'm more than willing to provide guidance with construction if needed. Any input or suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated. This design is particularly well-suited for small printers. Stay safe and healthy.
