Rugged Case for Mounting iMacwear's W1 Wearable Android Watch on Mobile Robot **Original Design**: Lennart Rolland **For Project**: OctoMY (http://octomy.org) This protective case enables the use of iMacwear W1 wearable android device, a.k.a. DM98, on mobile robots. The case serves three primary purposes: + It ruggedizes the device to protect against mechanical hazards. + It makes maintaining a permanent retention of the magnetic USB charging/data cable more convenient. + It allows for easy attachment to RC servo or other mounting options (geometry is customizable). **Prototype Note**: This design may already have been superseded. ### Advantages + Really tight fit + Super light + Perfect fit with servo horn + Almost snap-on attachment + Even looks kind of cool! + Retains the cable surprisingly well + Very modular and parameterized design that can easily be adapted in various ways ### Disadvantages - A bit more fragile than expected. Risk of cracking along layer lines when snapping it in. **Overall**: Despite room for improvement, I'm still very satisfied with the result! **Disclaimer**: This work is provided as a convenience and for informational purposes only.
