Protective Goggles (Foldable)
thingiverse
The protective goggles were designed with medical workers in mind who are at risk of getting infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. They offer a different option than face shields. This model is printed as one piece, including foldable arms. All you need to add is a transparent PVC sheet up to 0.4mm thick. 1. Frame of the goggles The frame can be printed using PLA or PETG. For added flexibility and durability, we recommend using PETG. 2. Plastic shield Cut the shield according to the template included in the files. You can print the template on a 3D printer or on an A4 sheet. The shield stays in place due to a small gap in the plastic frame. If the shield is too loose, you can fix it with a drop of superglue. You can also adjust the nose cut out to fit your needs. You can download the shield template in PDF format from this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ySXnnyeSGaVrhZNwriPGxl4FWbVml0Nk Important notice: These goggles do not provide enough protection when working with power tools. They are designed to reduce the risk of getting COVID-19. This project was created by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, to help fight against COVID-19.
