Protective foot for chair
thingiverse
This is a foot designed to fit snugly onto the leg of a sturdy metal chair that has been welded together. We had previously relied on slip-on plastic/teflon feet but were unable to find them anywhere, so we decided to take matters into our own hands and create our own custom solution! Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: None Notes: We successfully printed this design using Spool3D's transparent PLA on a Prusa i3 Mk2. Installation I intentionally designed this foot to snap securely onto the chair leg and stay in place, even if the chair is lifted off the floor. However, some metal bases may have a slight flare-out at the bottom, which can prevent the foot from slipping into place. This issue occurred about 20% of the time, but we were able to resolve it by gently pushing the chair down onto the foot when the chair is standing upright on the floor. Once you sit on the chair, the foot may fully seat itself, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit. The old, worn-out foot was in dire need of replacement. The protective foot has been removed from its previous location. The new custom-made foot is now securely in place.
