This is a protective cover in the extruder for Creality Ender 3. Many users of this printer know that the air flow from the extruder fan blows not only on the extruder, but also on the printed model, and this has a negative effect on printing ABS plastic. This casing (although it's more correct to call it a plate) will help solve this problem. To be fair, I'll add that I originally printed this model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3273061, but first of all, it didn't fit me in size. The author of this housing model has an earlier version printer, and I see my own metal casing of the extruder is different from my size. Secondly, the disadvantage of its casing (for me personally) is that it doesn't allow placing airflow under the casing (for example, circular airflow). My casing is placed inside the metal casing and pressed by the extruder fan without additional fastening, without taking up space under the main casing. Composition of files: Here there are 2 versions of the casing, the difference is only in the size of the cutout for the hot end: in the first version, the cutout is without gaps (the edges of the model are adjacent to the silicone protection); in the second version, a gap of 1 mm is added between the silicone protection and the casing. Also, SolidWorks format files have been added to the files for those who want to edit the model. Print options: - Print ABS plastic - There is a small overhang protruding by 1 mm. You can try to print without support. Thanks to Chucha (https://www.thingiverse.com/Chucha_TV/about).
