Protection visor for small build plate
thingiverse
This is an update of the design used in the Norwegian community effort to provide healthcare workers with protection equipment, please see https://3d19.no. The update was made to break down the design into smaller parts, allowing it to be printed on small build plates. My printer is a FlashForge Finder with a 140x140 mm build plate. By splitting the design into smaller parts, the build plate can be filled more efficiently, enabling the 3D printer to run autonomously for longer periods, such as overnight printing. The A4 transparent sheet must be punched with four holes on the long side in an "888" pattern. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hole_punch for details. The visor is best secured on the head using a piece of fabric elastic band with holes, as shown in a photo. The elastic band should be approximately 30 cm long. If a fabric elastic band is not available, a loop of 5mm fabric elastic band with eye knots at each end will also work. I have included STL files with full 140x140 mm build plates for the different parts. *Updated Files: 8th April* - An error on one build plate has been fixed. - Minor modifications have been made to simplify and decrease build time.
