Designing Four Pieces to Mount an ADS-B Antenna Inside a PVC Tube 1. Cut four pieces of 3/4 inch PVC pipe, each about 12 inches long. 2. Use a hacksaw or a bandsaw to cut the pipes cleanly and accurately. 3. Sand the ends of the pipes to smooth them out and remove any sharp edges. 4. Drill a hole in one end of each pipe, just large enough to thread a screw through. 5. Cut two pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe, each about 12 inches long. 6. Use a drill press or a handheld drill to make a precise hole in the center of each piece. 7. Insert the ends of the four longer pipes into the holes of the shorter pipes, creating a snug fit. 8. Use a socket wrench or a ratchet and socket to screw the pieces together tightly. 9. Cut two more pieces of 3/4 inch PVC pipe, each about 6 inches long. 10. Use a drill press or a handheld drill to make a precise hole in one end of each piece. 11. Insert the ends of these shorter pipes into the holes of the longer pipes, creating a snug fit. 12. Use a socket wrench or a ratchet and socket to screw the pieces together tightly. 13. The ADS-B antenna can now be mounted inside the PVC tube by screwing it into place. 14. Make sure everything is securely tightened before moving on to the next step.
