Here's how I protected my Sonus Faber MINIMA FMII speakers from dust and debris without breaking the bank: I designed my own front protection grid, which turned out to be a great idea. Since I bought my speakers used, they came with no protective grid, but that didn't stop me from creating one myself. I came up with two different designs - one with just the surrounding frame and retention pins, and another with a protective grid in front of the speakers as well. Both designs have a slot on the back where you can mount a protection tissue. To keep the tissue in place, I inserted a piece of wire using a hammer or vice. After searching online, I found several dedicated tissues that fit perfectly in the slot. Look for thin ones since there's limited space available.
