The quite cheap [VEVOR 85-2 Magnetic Stirrer](https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Magnetic-Stirrer-Temperature-Professional-Laboratory/dp/B08BFKG8SR) has some serios electrical security problems. One is, that you can accidentally touch the 230V wire of the hot plate. This protection prevents this, as well as that stirred liquid may drop into the gap between hot plate and top case. Be aware that the filament may melt down if you heat up the hot plate too much!
