NOT TESTED DESIGN. Name: ProtectingCapV2 Size: 46,6 mm x 15,3 mm, Tool Diameter: 11,8mm Description: Warning: this model has not been tested. I have not printed it yet. A safety cap for the WEDO Cutter Comfortline. Second design. I will use brim, but *not* skirt/raft since the slicer software applies a few strange layers within the hollow part. This does not happen when I do not use skirt/raft in the slicer preview. Filelist: Protecting Cap v2 a.stl (3D model file) Protecting Cap v2 a.skp (SketchUp Make V.17.2 file; Caution: not usable with lower program versions) Protecting Cap v2.txt (this text) Protecting Cap v2 a.jpg (picture1) Protecting Cap v2 b.jpg (picture2) Protecting Cap v2 c.jpg (picture3) Protecting Cap v2 d.gif (animation1) Model Model Name: ProtectingCapV2 Model Size: 46,6 mm x 15,3 mm, Tool Diameter for Tool Passage: 11,8mm Model Description and Comment: A warning beforehand: this model has not been tested. I have not printed it yet. A safety cap for the WEGO Hobby Knife. Second design. I recommend "brim" (print foundation plate) but *not* "skirt/raft" (print edge) to use, because the slicer software (Simplify3D) sets some layers at an inappropriate location inside the model when "skirt/raft" is selected. This does not happen if I omit skirt/raft. The preview in Cura v21.08 is even worse: there is support filament set in the passage hole for the hobby knife.
