I've found a few YouTube videos that you might be interested in: https://youtu.be/MO8wSIpUGMo and https://youtu.be/4oNgMI98MLU. A face shield design has been developed to be printed one on top of the other. It's meant to be printed with a 0.6mm nozzle, but there shouldn't be any issues printing it with a 0.4mm nozzle, just the delay in print time. The design is complete, consisting of a front protection lip, a rebatable articulation system, and a very secure trinquet adjustment. It also has two safety clips to hold the acetate to the edges. The design has an upper limit for the acetate that can be made by simply cutting the ends and bending them inwards. As I mentioned earlier, it also comes with safety clips. The print layers shouldn't be too high, especially to prevent the front protection lip from becoming permeable. Based on my experience with this model, the print layers should not exceed 0.27mm. I would recommend starting with a layer height of 0.25mm and a speed of 60mm/sec. Filling is not very important since it practically doesn't have any, with a 33% fill rate being sufficient. If you're printing one on top of the other (which is the idea behind the design), the Z-light between the visors should be equal to the chosen layer height. For example, if you choose a layer height of 0.25mm, the object being copied should move upwards by 11mm + 0.25mm (visor strip width + layer height). The publication includes: - The base model - Three models for a 0.25mm layer height - Five models for a 0.25mm layer height - Three models for a 0.27mm layer height - Five models for a 0.27mm layer height Last updated on April 20, 2020.
