The cell's recycling agent, the proteasome, is a barrel-shaped complex that degrades proteins. Its brutal destruction process is controlled by various caps and adaptor complexes. Trypanosomes' regulatory complex (1FNT), yeast's activator complex (1VSY), and yeast's ubiquitin identifying complex (4B4T) are included in the set of models. These complexes have been modified with pegs fitting into the proteasome barrel's holes, enabling reversible attachment to either side if your printer is calibrated correctly. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/dyrf9hd. Printing at 0.15mm layer height, 0.45mm extrusion width with natural ABS, using KISSlicer's "dense" support setting and scaling the support flow rate to 70%, was done successfully. Removing support from inside the proteasome barrel is challenging; a piece of armature wire in the holes between subunits helps. Despite this difficulty, printing these complexes is worthwhile.
