Prosthetic Hand Writing Utensil Attachment

I designed a project that was incredibly enjoyable to work on. The main focus of this project was centered around individuals who have lost the use of their dominant hand due to an amputation. This printed prosthetic hand offers a significant level of functionality, allowing its user to perform daily tasks with relative ease. My classmates and I have developed a wide range of attachments for this hand (all categorized under SPU_engineering). When it comes to this particular design, it was specifically tailored to fit my pencil perfectly, but it can be easily modified in Solidworks to accommodate any type of utensil. What sets this design apart from others is its ability to rotate a full 360 degrees. Unlike fixed holders that are stuck in place, this one allows for complete rotation and can also lock into position at whatever angle is most suitable for the user's needs by adding a specialized pin.
