Prosthetic Hand Remix: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1095104 This video explains how it's made. Enables subtitles https://youtu.be/uWL13vvi94s This prosthetic hand is designed to help people who are missing fingers. It was modeled with the following principles in mind: - Keep the number of printed parts as low as possible. - Keep the assembly process as simple as possible. - Use the least amount of non-printable parts necessary. In this new model, you can choose how to connect the fingers using screws (2M), axis wire, or filament printer. Leave openings in the model so that the hand can breathe. The previous model had a different hand rotation system on the wrist, which gave it more freedom. This time I modified the movement of the wrist using the great idea of a union that uses "Flexy-hand" http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:380665 I also changed the string tensioning system. It's safer than before and takes up less space. The fingers flex when they're pulled by strings, such as fishing line, and extend automatically with the help of elastic cord. A fabric strap with velcro is needed to secure the prosthetic hand to the arm. You can download the original file in blender, study it, and modify it to improve its performance. I hope my modifications are successful. I want to thank "http://www.africadirecto.org/" for suggesting changes and helping me improve the model https://youtu.be/9YwDoLA-IRM Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Notes: - Printed pieces are made with flexible filament "filaflex" - 80% filling. - Hand, Wrist, and Proximal pieces are printed with 20% filling. - Links and cover pieces are also printed with 20% filling.
