Prosthetic Finger Design
thingiverse
This prosthetic finger design builds on the Knick's Prosthetic Finger v3.5.5 model by eliminating the need for an elastic cord in favor of dental bands similar to those employed in the Phoenix Hand system. The comprehensive design includes components necessary for both a full-length finger and a shortened, one-knuckle version or a thumb. Key components like the Bumper, Cover, and Socket are fabricated using a flexible material, whereas other crucial parts are printed with a rigid material. For the prototype, Ninjaflex and PLA were used as the two primary materials.
