Prosthetic Cover Connector

thingiverse

This is a modification of Djoko Kuswanto's CRE-04_Cryptec_Pattern_Leg_Prosthesis-joint_cover designed specifically for attaching CRE-04_Cryptec_Pattern_Leg_Prosthesis-cover_front and rear to a standard 30mm diameter prosthetic pylon. You can find the original design on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2754691. The part has a very snug fit over a standard 30mm pylon, which means it cannot be installed by bending the part open. To install the joint cover, you'll need to remove the pylon adapter from the pylon first. Most pylon adapters use either one or two 4mm or 5mm hex screws, and prosthetists often apply lock tight to these screws. Before removing the adapter, be sure to mark the alignment so that all parts can be reassembled with their original settings. Check out the picture for an example of which 4mm screw to loosen to remove the adapter. Look closely at the pylon for the black mark that will help you realign the parts. Note that the prosthetic foot has been removed in this picture for clarity purposes.
