Prosthetic Claw/Hand

Doing a prototype replacement hand for someone without digits, they only have one thumb metacarpal left that could provide some power, because wrist-operated hands aren't very useful for tasks like squeezing toothpaste or opening a popsicle. This is the first one and hopefully it will print as a single piece and be functional right off the printer. Print in shown orientation with support. Here's the Orchard development tree if anyone gets inspired: https://3dorchard.com/app/single/5cd314a233c9820c8759e607/5ce1b350cb95040ba114fe7f The original design requires some assembly, but doing it in one piece will be a fun challenge if it's possible and may even make "functionable" a part of my everyday vocabulary. I found a faster way to produce the outline of the appendage from a photo by using a transparency over my display, then tracing it into Orchard with their Sketch function using a Sharpie. Just need a scaling reference in the photo. Look for my 20cm grid if you don't have a ruler. Orchard has a Mirror function for the other hand. The rotating pin of the actuator is too big on this version so it will fuse to the housing. I've done another version with more clearance. Here's a new test model of the mechanism for when I get access to a printer: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3651225
