This was an innovative 3D printing project undertaken at Seattle Pacific University within its renowned Engineering department. The project resulted in a groundbreaking prosthetic attachment tool, empowering individuals with prosthetic arms to seamlessly integrate their phones into their arm-mounted devices. Designed specifically around the iPhone 7, this attachment accommodates various phone sizes and can be adjusted to fit both vertical and horizontal orientations. A critical feature of this design is its slider mechanism, which allows for precise adjustment and secure grip on the phone through a clever string-and-peg system as depicted in accompanying photographs. Optional recommendations suggest enhancing the grip's stability by attaching foam pads to the attachment points using a permanent adhesive.
