Propellor box for Typhoon H
thingiverse
I created a propeller storage box that also functions as a printer for smaller machines like my old Turnigy Fabrikator, which has a maximum print size of 15x15x10 cm. It's recommended to use larger print volumes since removing the internal supports can be challenging. The design features a bottom section with two separate compartments for clockwise and counterclockwise propellers, along with a lid that securely closes in place. The case dimensions are identical to the original cardboard version, except for height - it's slightly longer but still fits in a backpack. I've added the top and bottom sections separately and removed the tabs from the lower half, as they seemed to cause more problems than benefits. If desired, you can print the bottom of the box 2% smaller or the lid 2% larger to improve closure since it's a tight fit. Additionally, upscaling the height (z-axis) by about 2% allows for a full lid closure. The storage box accommodates both original and carbon Maytech propellers, with a guide available in the last picture showing how to properly position them. I've replaced the bottom section due to issues encountered in Simplify3D. Print Settings: Printer: Creality CR-10 Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Not required Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 30% Filament: Esun PLA (silver) Notes: If possible, print the box standing upright to avoid using supports.
