Propeller Spinner (M5)

Propeller Spinner (M5)

thingiverse

For motors featuring an M5 screw for prop mounting, these spinners provide efficient air routing around the motor. They also prove useful when inverting your copter for maintenance or battery (un)mounting. The internal M5 bolt measures 10mm in length, with the bottom 4mm enlarged to accommodate a nut. This design caters to motors that secure props using an M5 bolt and nut, allowing up to 6mm projection above the nut. Adjustments can be made in the mesh for customization. Due to immediate transition from nut to bolt during printing, support is usually necessary unless your slicing software is particularly clever. A version with internal support, removable with pliers, is provided. The Blender file offers a raw mesh with separate support object. To print, opt for the supported version without automatic support. Print settings include 0.2mm layers and low infill ratio. Post-printing, easily remove support structures from the spinners using pliers; internal supports stand at 4mm in height.
