# Propclef #NoTouchChallenge ## Door Opener with Protective Case This tool is designed to open doors without touching the handle directly or pressing buttons with your fingers. It's especially useful in public toilets, elevators, and other frequently touched areas where germs can spread. It fits easily in your pocket or attaches to your key fob for convenience. The Propclef consists of two parts: a key and a cover. The cover snaps firmly onto the key, preventing it from opening accidentally in your pocket or bag. Ergonomics and style were top priorities during my design process. I'm excited to announce that new covers are available, allowing you to attach the Propclef to your belt and operate it with one hand! --- ## Disclaimer Please note that this object is not intended as a medical device and should not give you a false sense of security against infection. Always follow WHO guidelines for safe practices. For more information on similar solutions made from copper, please refer to 6ithFINGER's comment. As the designer, I am not liable for any usage of this design. Viruses and bacteria can adhere to and multiply on the surface of 3D printed plastic objects. However, there are studies on how to sterilize or disinfect these parts, depending on the material used. For further research, check out these articles: https://makezine.com/2020/04/10/can-you-really-sterilize-a-3d-print-real-answers-from-actual-studies/ and https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/prusa-face-shield-disinfection_125457/ The final user is responsible for the safe use of this design. ## Printing Instructions Print the key part horizontally with support and 50% infill. Print the cover part vertically without support and 20% infill. For users who prefer to print without support, I've included a version of the key that can be printed at 50% infill: key_part_no_support.stl. ## Curiosities The Propclef design is Italian-inspired, as I am an Italian designer living in France. The name "Propclef" comes from the French words "propre," meaning clean, and "clef," meaning key. ## Tipping If you find this object useful, consider leaving a tip to encourage me to create more designs.
