Prop Guards for MHQ2

Prop Guards for MHQ2

I'm working on my first set of prop guards for the Hovership MHQ2. With a bit of force, they should clip easily into place at the base of the motors.I've decided to laser cut the actual guards and 3D print the arms that hold them in place. I've attached both the 2D and 3D files so you can choose your preferred method. Keep in mind this is my first attempt, so I'm looking forward to refining these designs soon.Maybe shortening the width of the guards would be a good idea? Let me know if you agree. As I become more comfortable with CAD software, I'll create a SCAD version that lets you adjust the clip size to fit your motor. To assemble and install the prop guards, you'll need: * 8-10mm M3 screws (for mounting the guard) * 4 14-16mm M3 screws (for attaching the arm to the motor mount) * 12 M3 lock nuts (for securing the assembly) The screw spots are straightforward. Remember, when printing, the prop guards will be attached upside down - they should clip onto the motors from underneath. You'll notice a small nub near the clip that presses against the printed arm of the MHQ2 to keep the guards in place. It's worth noting that metal hardware might weigh too much; I recommend opting for nylon plastic hardware instead whenever possible.
