Prop Blade Guard for Estes Proto X FPV Variant
thingiverse
I created a prop guard for my FPV Proto X. The existing designs on this platform don't account for the larger size of the FPV model. Printed on my Stratasys Dimension, I found that using the "TIGHT" design worked seamlessly. However, printing it on my Makerbot 2X resulted in a mess requiring significant filing and sanding. For those with a hobby-grade FDM printer, I recommend opting for the standard version. Laser cutting thin sheets of polyethylene, delrin, or polycarbonate is also an excellent approach, which is why I've included a DXF file to facilitate this process. If you want to tinker with the design's geometry, download either the Solidworks or STEP file for further manipulation.
