
Prop Audio System Mount with Adjustable Magnetic Brackets

I'm a member of the Rebel Legion here in Washington state. Our local groups (501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Saber Guild, Mandalorian Mercs, Droid Builders, & Dark Empire) usually setup a Star Wars Experience at Emerald City Comic Con. This includes various props and displays presented for our guests to enjoy. We collect donations for our local children's hospital. I wasn't slated to build anything new for the props this year until our meeting about three weeks before the con. I was asked by the project lead for the Speeder Bike build if I could add sound to the bike. I had parts available from another build, so I agreed. The project lead requested a sound unit that could magnetically attach to the bikes frame. I requested the dimensions of the frame I would be working with, but he was unable to provide them. Without the dimensions to work with, I designed a unit that could be adjusted to fit. It can fit on a frame as narrow as 18cm and as wide as 30cm. I was able to successfully complete the project in time, though I was doing the final assembly onsite. I now have the correct dimensions of the frame and will build a unit specifically for the bike. I figure this unit might be useful for someone else in the future. Note: you can run a second speaker off this amplifier, but I was told beforehand that only one would be needed. The speaker base is designed to hold a 20 watt full range speaker from Adafruit. The soundboard & amp base is designed to hold a 18 watt amp on one side and a ¼ size proto board on the other. The Adafruit soundboard connects via the proto board. All the parts were designed to print on my Ender 3. Assembly hardware is a combination of M3 & M4 bolts nuts, washers, & standoffs. Electrical connections were made with various JST connecters, an RCA audio connector, and soldering. Let me know if you have any questions or if I missed anything in my material list.
