*** NOTICE UPDATE 11/18/2018 **** Life's been moving fast, and I've been working on something new - a 2.0 version, so to speak. Some of you will love the updates, while others might not be too thrilled. I'm posting this update to let you know that the new Dungeon Tiles set is still in progress. Here are the details on the new set: It won't be backwards compatible with older dungeon tiles. The tiles will be 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches, similar to Wyloch and True Tiles. I've found that 1-inch squares are too small for miniatures after playing with my set for years. I don't plan huge scale battles or set up entire dungeons beforehand; it's usually just a room or two. The walls will be slightly taller, but half-walls will still be available. This was a design consideration to make the doors look right - they're now about 8mm taller. The floor height (from tabletop to top of floor piece) is also taller. I made this change so that you can place a floor piece right next to a base and have it look planned, since it was designed that way. Plus, with the new height of the walls, they're sized so that if you stack bases on top of each other 7+floor pieces high, they'll be the same height as the wall - which is important for future designs. The clips will be different - another clip, I know, but it's necessary. The old openLock was limiting for my needs, and the new clips can clip onto OpenLock, but sadly not to my old designs. However, I love the new clips, which I've spent a year prototyping. The best features are still here! The walls, floor, and base are separate and modular - you can mix and match, replace tall walls with half-walls for those who have vision issues, and they're all magnetic. You can glue them together like OpenForge's construction tiles if you want, but if you want the wall, base, or floor to be magnetic, let them be! Open doors, replaceable doors, sliding doors - still here! Need a wooden door? No problem. A gate? No problem. An iron door? No problem! Square piece, check. Diagonal piece, check. Quarter-round piece, check. Half-piece, check. Alcove piece, double-check! New features? Triple locks are nice - instead of just clipping in the center, why not have three? Let them be three. Tired of the brick wall? Well, the new set isn't the same old plain brick wall! They're 1.25 inches per square! Batteries won't be included, but I've managed to add some space for them. Lastly - it's still free. So, the new set is still being worked on... yeah, for the last year... but I hope to have them out in December! (Barring design issues, of course. Truth be told, I've modeled most of the basic pieces, but printing has been slow since my printer died over the summer.) *** NOTICE UPDATE END **** Open Dungeon Tiles We're still here - we went to the mountain to beef up on Blender. Have new designs that will show the big boys what Piece Bringer is made of! You want a magnetic dungeon? You'll get one! OPEN DUNGEON TILES: Choose Your Dungeon Series! It will be backwards compatible, compatible with other popular designs, and completely earth-shattering - so much so that it might get copied. Also, OPEN DUNGEON TILES: All Your Bases Are Belong To All Series! With OpenLock, Dragon Bite, Infinity Lock, and other sets, it's hard to get the base you want. I believe this series will solve that problem. Coming soon! I'm still in the modeling phase of my designs. This means that if you have things you'd like to see in a dungeon, comment below!
