PROMIMETIC is based on Flexy Arm by Christian Silva, the Flexy_Hand 2 by Steve Wood (Gyrobot), and the work of the e_NABLE group. All these files are covered by a creative commons attribution license that prohibits commercial use. Any reproduction or derivatives from this model should be supervised by a certified professional in the handling of prosthetics and orthotics. This is not a model for commercial use, and any intention to sell or profit from it or its derivatives will be punished by law, with the exception of its developer, Wilmer Garcia. This prosthetic solution can only be adapted for patients over three years old or adults under the supervision of a healthcare professional, therapist, physical therapist, physiatrist, and psychologist. Please read the safety manual and use guidelines carefully before using this prosthetic solution. The BIONIC FLEXY ARM II was designed and developed by artist Wilmer A. Garcia P., a student at the National University of Colombia, in collaboration with Cristian Silva, a Mechatronic Engineering PhD student at the same university. The model is based on the Flexy arm by Christian Silva, The Flexy_Hand 2 by Steve Wood (Gyrobot), and the work of the e_NABLE group. It was developed by the team e-Nable Colombia and Fabrilab in Bogotá, with the participation and support of Recreartech in the 3D scanning process and Realiza3D in the 3D printing process. All files are covered by a common creative license attribution that prohibits commercial use. Please use our reference if you want to print it. Parents and children were informed about the study and research for the development of this work. For children aged three to sixteen, consent was explained by the principal investigator and signed by the children and their parents. Written parental consent was obtained to publish pictures and videos in the research study and research. Detailed safety guidelines were given to parents about the use and care of prosthetic arms.
