For the last two decades, I've been loyal to my Toyota 4Runner, yet one persistent annoyance has always bothered me - keys constantly slipping into the bottom of my pocket. To avoid this frustration, I've always carried my remote on my keychain, allowing it to protrude from the top of my pocket for easy access. Recently, I acquired a 2018 Promaster van, which came with a sleek flip-out keyfob. Following my tried-and-true method, I clipped the fob to the outside of my pocket, keeping my keys safely stored within. However, this setup had one major flaw - the flip-out key would frequently swing open and stick down, putting it at risk of breaking or causing self-inflicted harm. To rectify this issue, I designed a simple yet ingenious solution that slides down onto the remote when not in use and effortlessly slides off when activating the key. It's an uncomplicated yet effective design that has genuinely improved my daily experience. Perhaps someone reading this will find equal value in my creation, just as I have.
