Prolonged i3 Adjustable Y Belt Holder
thingiverse
The pulley attached to the Y motor has 16 teeth. When operating with stock Rework or Thingiverse's #745934, significant tension develops when moving the bed towards its maximum or minimum position. This excessive tension results from the large 608zz bearing situated in the y-idler of a Prusa i3 Rework stock model. One solution is to extend the doodad/pylon further so that it matches the pulley's length, resulting in better alignment and improved performance when paired with Thingiverse's #856725. Using 16 teeth Y-pulleys requires replacing the standard 608zz bearing on the Prusa i3 Rework vanilla with a different type to prevent excessive tension. To ensure consistent operation, I have incorporated the adjustable component from Thingiverse's #745934 into my assembly instructions
