Se ha diseñado para que su fijación a la mesa sea tan sencilla como encajarlo en el canto de la misma, por lo que tanto su colocación como retirada de la misma se puede realizar con gran facilidad y en pocos segundos. La finalidad de la pieza es poder apoyar algo sobre ella, y no se debe utilizar en ningún caso como sistema de apoyo a la hora de sentarse y/o levantarse de la mesa, ya que solamente está pensada para soportar un pequeño peso, y no la carga de un cuerpo entero.
