Heating Bed For The Velleman Vertex K8800. I Decided Not To Modify The Printer Unnecessarily. Instead, I Installed The Heating Bed Underneath The Original Pressure Plate. A 12V 50W 100x100 Mm Heating Pad Serves As The Heater And Is Powered By A Temperature Controller And A Downstream Mosfet Module With Voltage. The Aluminum Heating Plate Is Approximately 0.2 Mm Above The Original Glass Plate, Preserving Automatic Pressure Bed Calibration And Ensuring No Pressure Chamber Is Compromised In Height. I Made An Adjustment To The Piezo Pressure Transducers After Initial Testing By Cutting A Hole In The Rubber Pad. This Change Allows For Ring-Shaped Adhesion, Resulting In Greater Sensitivity To Pressure And Eliminating Problems With Auto Calibration Up To 60 Degrees. Good To Very Good Adhesion Is Achieved With PLA At 55 Degrees Bed Temperature So Far. A Two-Position Controller Set With A Hysteresis Of 0.1 Degrees Regulates The System. The Power Supply Consists Of A Small Switching Power Supply And A Mosfet Module, Specifically Designed For 3D Printers Like The Anet A8, A6, A2, And Prusa I3. Materials Used Are Widely Available On Ebay At Affordable Prices And Fit Seamlessly Within The Adapted Radio Housing.
