Projector ceiling mount

What do you do when you can't find the Sony PSS-610 ceiling mount for your brand new projector? You design one! This is a custom-made ceiling mounting bracket for the Sony VPL-AW15 and similar projectors. Simply print out the two brackets, secure the ceiling bracket to a ceiling joist using 1/4" lag bolts, and purchase 1" threaded pipe from your local hardware store in the length you prefer. Thread the pipe into the ceiling bracket and then attach the projector bracket onto the pipe. Use M5 screws to firmly connect the projector to the mount, and don't forget to add washers with all screws. This part was created using Fusion360, where I edited McMaster-Carr files exactly as described by Desktop Makes on YouTube on January 19th, 2018. The ceiling bracket was printed with a solid 60% infill from high-quality black PLA. I even hung my full weight on this piece, expecting it to fail miserably, but it held up perfectly fine.
