Project Vacuboss - 7mm prototype
thingiverse
I'm a huge fan of NFE's BOSS micro project! To assemble it, you'll want to start by placing the motors into their designated holes on the frame. Next, carefully vacuform the entire assembly, making sure to remove any excess material as you go. Once that's done, use a craft knife or scissors to carefully open up the top of each motor. The design was created using Tinkercad, and I'm planning on giving it another shot in Fusion 360 soon - perhaps with some additional motor sizes thrown into the mix. One thing to keep in mind is that this project doesn't require any supports during printing. However, you may need to do a bit of filing to get the tolerances just right. For this particular build, I'm using 7mm brushed motors and a modified FPV camera with a mullet-style setup.
