*****UPDATE #6....3/02/2019*****\r\nI made a note that THIS MOD CURRENTLY ONLY WORKS WITH THE EASY TO LEVEL BUILD PLATE. Sorry for any inconvienence, but I will likely look into a workaround in the near future.\r\n\r\n*****UPDATE #5....2/26/2019*****\r\nIt was brought to my attention that 320mm rods were too long, and that 310mm fits just right. I have updated my link and BOM to Misumi 310mm rods, As I believe that is the only place you can get 310mm (or any custom size for that matter..). Sorry for the confusion!! In the meantime if you already have 320mm rods they can be cut, but just needs to be cut slow as to not warp the rods.\r\n\r\n*****UPDATE #4....2/20/2019*****\r\nI finally finished the assembly manual for the Project Tripod. I tried to be as thorough as possible, but if something does not make sense or there are grammatical errors, please bring them to my attention. THANK YOU!\r\n\r\n*****UPDATE #3....2/19/2019*****\r\nMy confusion.. I had the wrong corner bracket in the file download (connects the bottom rod holder to the Moai). I have updated with the correct part. If you downloaded anything before 2/19.. please make note and get the correct file. Sorry for the mess-up!\r\n\r\n*****UPDATE #2....2/18/2019*****\r\nI added a BOM "Bill of Materials" To the download files. Should have build instructions within the next few days.\r\n\r\n*****UPDATE #1....2/18/2019***** \r\nI added a new rod holder for the top which eliminates the need for the shim. You still need to use the "lower rod holders" for the bottom. I am leaving the shim available for those that still need it, but I recommend using the new rod holder instead.\r\n\r\nThe Project Tripod is designed to enhance the stability and performance of your Moai 3D printer. It requires some modifications to your printer's frame and components. Here are the necessary parts and tools: Two LM8UU bearing holders found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1062598\r\n Other stuff needed to complete the build: Two LM8UU Linear bearings (I don't recommend using cheapies). 40x20 v-slot extrusion. Cylinder Linear Shaft 8x310MM-- https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/110302634310/?CategorySpec=00000042688%3a%3aa&curSearch=%7b%22field%22%3a%22%40search%22%2c%22seriesCode%22%3a%22110302634310%22%2c%22innerCode%22%3a%22%22%2c%22sort%22%3a1%2c%22specSortFlag%22%3a0%2c%22allSpecFlag%22%3a0%2c%22page%22%3a1%2c%22pageSize%22%3a%2260%22%2c%2200000028941%22%3a%22mig00000001498696%22%2c%2200000028938%22%3a%2200000028938.a!00001%22%2c%2200000028939%22%3a%2200000028939.b!00002%22%2c%2200000028940%22%3a%22b%22%2c%2200000028942%22%3a%22d%22%2c%2200000028943%22%3a%22310%22%2c%22fixedInfo%22%3a%22MDM00000540771110302634310-1518478229%7c13%22%7d&Tab=wysiwyg_area_0 IF YOU HAVE LONGER RODS AND HAVE TO CUT THEM, THEN DO IT SLOW AS TO NOT HEAT UP THE RODS!!\r\nT-slot slide in nuts: https://www.amazon.com/OCR-T-Nuts-Nickel-Plated-Sliding-M5-50PCS/dp/B07G43H78Z/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?keywords=t-slot+nuts&qid=1550442253&s=gateway&sr=8-4-spons&psc=1\r\n\r\n***PLEASE NOTE..DOING ANY OF THESE MODIFICATIONS ARE DONE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE OWNER.
