Project Ikarus - Quadcopter
thingiverse
Disclaimer: This is only a first look into this project; we're midway through development. We decided to publish at this early stage to collect as much feedback as possible. As for me, the publisher, this is my first major project on Thingiverse, so every form of feedback or suggestion is greatly appreciated in helping shape this entire thing. I promise to update this regularly. I'm truly sorry that progress has been slow. We've completed our prototype and conducted our initial flights. The paper is due next week, so I'll upload our finished work by then, but we're now in the final stretch. So please be patient. Changes: 05/21/2019 - Added list of main electric and printed components This project is part of a study project from our group at TU Dresden. We're 7 students who are almost complete with our diplomas in engineering. The goal of this project is to fully develop a quadcopter, in collaboration with the production hall of our university. We decided not to rely on traditional methods and started a concept for a fully printed drone. The key features we aim to achieve are: - Fully printed - Easy to build - Easy to modify - A wide range of modified parts to enable individualization - Changeable flight behavior through the use of different parts This concept is designed to make it easy and affordable for people to enter the quadcopter world, as this is also a new domain for us. Be assured that this thing will be updated with the paper we're writing. So documentation won't be an issue in this project.
