Project help education

I was intrigued by Ikea's demographic challenge, where they sought hands-on everyday off-grid solutions for basic needs like energy, water, and communication. Upon reading those words, a simple yet powerful idea struck me - sending letters to people. I've heard that education in Africa is severely impacted due to the high cost of basic tools such as pencils in poor regions. Education enables better communication with others, especially through English, which is a crucial skill in life. Mathematics also plays a vital role in everyday life. I designed a very affordable pencil case that opens and closes, featuring a built-in ruler and compass. The prototype photos showcase the compass-ruler design. To reduce costs, I minimized plastic usage where possible. Wherever feasible, I removed excess plastic to lower production expenses. This approach is especially relevant in regions where resources are scarce. The ruler-compass tool can be used as a standard ruler or as a compass by inserting the provided pole into the extra hole and positioning the pencil within the 10-centimeter range. Ten holes are strategically placed on each centimeter, allowing for circles up to 20cm in diameter. Users can store additional pencils in the extra holders. The proposed package includes: * A pencil case * A protractor * A ruler-compass tool * Two pencils * One pen I've successfully demonstrated how this item meets all five criteria and is relatively inexpensive to manufacture. I hope you appreciate my project, which has the potential to positively impact thousands of people in Africa and possibly worldwide. Good luck to fellow contestants.
