Programmable Illuminated Sign

This illuminated sign can display custom messages and is easy to use. To create your own sign, follow these steps: first, modify the SketchUp file with your desired text; then, print various parts including LEDBackBox, LEDPlate (in black), BEZEL (clear or white for the flat section, switch filament to black mid-print) and eight 8mm "smart pixels" or RGB LEDs. Connect the LED Plate to an Arduino or clone and program it accordingly. Finally, showcase your message with this versatile sign, which can be used in various settings like a video editing/voice over suite. For added functionality, consider incorporating a switching mechanism to switch between different modes such as OFF, GREEN (OK to enter), RED (NOT OK to enter), and a Larson Scanner-style white light with a red base for quiet recording sessions. A potentiometer could be used as the switch for customizable settings.
